MUMBAI — Actor Ranveer Singh has revealed that he was a bully and a mischievous student in school.
“I used to be a bully. I used to be fat, very mischievous. School used to be my life,” Singh said at the annual day function of his school Learner’s Academy here.
“I was here for the entire duration of my schooling years — 15 years. I passed out of here as head boy... I was always the performer, always in the popular bunch,” said the actor who sets the stage on fire whenever he performs.
Singh also interacted with his teachers, whom he remembered by name. The actor also clicked some selfies with the students sportingly.
“I used to perform in plays and dances, and this is where I got the experience that perhaps I could be a performer,” said the “Bajirao Mastani” actor, known for his energy and lively spirit. He added that he is thankful to his parents and teachers who were so involved in building his foundation as a person.
In an emotional moment, Singh also took off his t-shirt to reveal a shirt filled with messages scribbled on it.
“This is my school shirt, which I have preserved well... This is one of my most prized possessions, and so I thought it’d be a wonderful thing to wear it today.”
Singh will be seen next in Aditya Chopra’s “Befikre.”
