MUMBAI—Shilpa Shetty Kundra, 41, who over the years has come to be synonymous with health and fitness, announced her new health and wellness venture, the “Shilpa Shetty Wellness Series” on Feb. 16. Tiger Shroff, who is also extremely passionate about fitness, formally launched the Series at a press conference at The Lalit in Mumbai.
The digital series will have quick hacks to daily wellness solutions and is divided into three themes – the Art Of Loving Food, which will include videos on food and nutrition, the Art Of Strengthening, which includes videos on workout and fitness and the Art Of Balance, a Yoga series that will feature videos on the body, mind and soul.
What’s more? The gorgeous star will feature in the fitness and cookery videos as she shares secrets on living a healthy lifestyle. In addition to an official website, the initiative will also have presence on a YouTube channel as well as on a Facebook page.
Talking about the initiative, Kundra said at the launch, “My motto is – Swast Raho Mast Raho. My aim is to spread awareness about health and fitness, not only in our country but across the globe. This channel will be a medium to help me achieve that. A healthy life is something every individual needs in this chaotic world. I am not an expert in this field, but I do feel that if I can do it, so can anyone else.”
Added Shroff, “There is so much more to fitness than going to a gym. Fitness is a state of mind and I am a big fan of Shilpa who is the queen of fitness. Her series is a one-stop shop for a healthy lifestyle. The website and channel will offer solutions to any question you may have on fitness.”
The best moment that afternoon came with Shroff interacting with Kundra’s son, Viaan Raj Kundra, who was flexing muscles and stretching with abandon. The toddler gave the star a run for his money. Kundra’s husband, mother and sister Shamita Shetty were also present.
The series has received amazing feedback from viewers. The latest video posted on the YouTube channel trended at the number one spot and has already garnered over half a million views. In the video, Kundra is seen explaining her pre-workout warm-up routine to viewers.
Kundra also announced the launch of her series on social media with an Instagram photograph with son Viaan and Shroff. Her husband Raj Kundra sent out a tweet congratulating her on grabbing the top spot on YouTube.
Kundra, who already has a successful DVD on Yoga to her credit, also turned author last year with her book “The Great Indian Diet.” The health and fitness book topped Amazon's bestseller list and continues to remain one of the highest- selling books.
