CNN’s Richard Quest interacts with a host of celebrities on a daily basis. But never has the host of “Quest Means Business” danced to Bollywood tunes during those live interactions. But when you have Bollywood’s top actors Katrina Kaif and Siddharth Malhotra — who are taking the song “Kala Chashma” to an all new level — as your guests, you want to jump up and groove to this catchy number.
Katrina Kaif and Siddharth Malhotra, who are currently touring the U.S. as part of the “Dream Team,” stopped by CNN International’s studio in New York Aug. 17. The highly energized duo, who are squeezing in promotional activities for their upcoming film, “Baar Baar Dekho,” performed live to the hit Bollywood track, “Kala Chashma,” which is already being touted as the party anthem of the year.
Quest later tweeted: “The dancers were great fun and even taught me a step or two.”
In another tweet he said: “Bollywood goes west. Honored to have @S1dharthM @KatrinaKaifFB on show tonight. Wonderful discussion about movies.”
The chartbuster track became an instant hit, sparking a viral dance challenge called the #KalaChashmaChallenge that has taken the world by storm. Its popularity can be gauged by the fact that it was played at the Rio Olympics after the Indian team scored in hockey.
Presented by Eros International in association with Excel Entertainment and Dharma Productions, “Baar Baar Dekho” is directed by Nitya Mehra and will hit theaters Sept. 9.
