Bollywood choreographer Nakul Dev Mahajan, who is known for his work on FOX reality show “So You Think You Can Dance,” recently collaborated with American singer-songwriter and dancer-choreographer Paula Abdul.

Mahajan was requested by Abdul to be a contributing choreographer for Avon’s PSA breast cancer commercial.

The Indian American founder of NDM Dance, who was behind Nina Davuluri’s winning dance routine during the Miss America 2014 pageant, choreographed a Thai-inspired section for the video using Indian mudras, or hand gestures.

Mahajan has a personal connection to the project as he is a cancer survivor and has considered Abdul his idol.

Abdul rose to prominence in the 1980s as a highly sought-after choreographer at the height of the music video era, and later came out with a string of pop music hits.

In recent times, Abdul has become a television personality and appeared as one of the three judges on reality singing show “American Idol” and “The X-Factor,” among others.
