Indian American actress Poorna Jagannathan, known for her powerful roles on shows such as “NCIS: Los Angeles,” “Royal Pains” and “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” will soon be seen in the first season of the psychological thriller series, “Gypsy,” set to air on Netflix.

The 10-part series, starring Naomi Watts and Billy Crudup, follows Jean Holloway, played by Watts, a Manhattan therapist who develops dangerous and intimate relationships with the people in her patients’ lives.

The series, premiering June 30, marks Jagannathan’s series regular role after HBO’s crime drama, “The Night Of.” However, not much is known about her character, Larin Inamdar.

Jagannathan, who starred in Bollywood films like “Delhi Belly” and “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani,” also played a key role in Indian American filmmaker Anjul Nigam’s recently released indie comedy, “Growing Up Smith.”
