MUMBAI— Aapka Colors’ new offering “Dance Deewane” is a unique dance show that offers a common stage to three generations to showcase their talents. The three finalists, one from each category, compete for the title of being India’s unparalleled Dance Deewana.

It is being judged by Madhuri Dixit Nene, Shashank Khaitan and Tushar Kalia. The show is produced by Dreams Vault Media. The recent episode was a family special and the crew of “Dance Deewane” made it more special for Khaitan: his parents and in-laws visited the show to give him a surprise.

His mother revealed on the sets, “Shashank was very naughty since childhood and never used to walk on the straight path, unlike other children. He used to climb up trees, walls, and gates and used to jump seeing me coming. He has given us a very tough time in his childhood, but now he has made us very proud.”

Breaking through the clutter of existing dance shows, this unique format offers those who are extremely passionate about dance a platform to showcase their talent.

Khaitan, who once assisted Karan Johar, has directed two films, both hits, “Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania” and “Badrinath Ki Dulhania.” His “Dhadak” will release next month, and he is onto his next, an action drama starring Varun Dhawan.
