Child actor Kartikey Malviya, who is just 12 years old, has set fire to the screen with his powerful performance in Swastik Productions’ new show “Shani,” where he is playing the lead role. Malviya, who hails from Itasri, Madhya Pradesh, was the first runner-up on “India’s Best Dramebaaz” Season 2, and enthralled everyone with his stellar performance.
Malviya adds: “In the first season of ‘India’s Best Dramebaaz,’ I got out, and then my mother held my hand and taught me a lot. She was the one who helped me in my performance and gave me her full support. In fact, my whole family supported me. I am the first one in the family to join the entertainment industry.”
Talking about his experience in the reality show “India’s Best Dramebaaz,” Malviya says: “The experience in ‘Dramebaaz’ was very good, and I had a great time on the show. I played so many mythological characters in the show that director Sajid Khan, who was one of the judges on the show, gave me the title of ‘Mytho King,’ which I consider a great compliment. When I auditioned for ‘Shani,’ those experiences really worked.”
Malviya, who is an eighth grade student, goes to Kendriya Vidyalay. He is getting immense support from his principal.
He adds: “My principal is very nice to me, and he has granted me leave for a few months, so I can continue my work in ‘Umargaun.’ He showed me his trust, and I will not let him down. On the set, whenever I am not shooting, my tutor comes and I study during breaks. Creator Siddarth Kumar Tewary is a very intelligent and understanding producer.”
