Karanvir Bohra and Surbhi Jyoti in “Qubool Hai.”

The show is finally taking a long overdue leap. The last time Four Lions Films planned to take a leap they stalled it, because Karanvir Bohra, who plays Aahil in “Qubool Hai,” refused to be a part of it. So the makers decided to postpone the leap and push it until they were ready.

Now we hear that the show is finally taking a 20-year leap and, with that, Karanvir Bohra has put down his papers. We got in touch with the producer of the show, Gul Khan, to find out more on what is really happening. Khan said, “Yes, ‘Qubool Hai’ is taking a long leap, and Karanvir Bohra has quit the show. However, we’ve parted on amicable terms.” Well, that is indeed good news, although fans have not taken this too well. Several have taken to social networking sites and started an online petition to stop the leap from happening.

Khan said, “I’ve always been the most hated person for them, so it really doesn’t matter anymore. They protested when we brought Bohra on board opposite Surbhi Jyoti, and now they are fighting to keep him.”

Well, the decision is definitely not in their hands, considering it was Bohra’s decision to quit, right? Anyway, the show will take a leap as planned and Jyoti will continue with the show. She will have a new birth and will now be christened Mahira on the show. That’s not all. Jyoti will be seen romancing two guys after the leap. Additi Gupta is the only other actor who will continue with the show along with Jyoti. And it will be her sons that will play the lead opposite Jyoti.

The producer has not yet short listed actors to play opposite Jyoti, but seeing their history, we are sure they will find some really hot men from the industry. The channel has given its go ahead to Khan, and she will plan an interesting story after the leap, she promises. Fingers crossed!
