Indian American choreographer Nakul Dev Mahajan, who is credited with introducing Bollywood dance to the U.S., choreographed a Bollywood number for The Sloth for Fox Network’s new series “The Masked Dancer,” which aired on Feb. 3.

“Setting an entertaining, nostalgic, comedic piece was definitely something I've always wanted to do for American television,” said Mahajan.

The choreographer told India-West he was given a library of music to choose from. “From there, I selected what would work best for this type of show, which has an underlying humor component.”

“When I saw the ‘Twist,’ I knew this would work best with the character of The Sloth,” he said. The “Twist Remix” is composed by Neeraj Sridhar.

“The Masked Dancer” is a spin-off of “The Masked Singer.” The name of the dancer who plays The Sloth will be revealed in an upcoming episode.
