• Forest Park, Ill., Mayor Anthony Calderon named Dr. Austin Prabhu to the newly established Diversity Commission of Forest Park. Established in 2016, the commission will be a resource for experience and information on diversity issues and serve in an advisory capacity to the mayor and Village Council. Prabhu, originally from Nanthur, Mangalore, earned his MBA from Pacific Western University and a Ph.D. in management from Pacific Western University, both in Los Angeles.

• The Ford Foundation named Pradeep Nair regional director for its office serving India, Nepal and Sri Lanka. Nair was previously India country director of the U.S.-based Institute for Sustainable Communities. Additionally, he was director of President Bill Clinton's Climate Initiative in India and has taught development project financing at business schools in India and mentored entrepreneurs in engineering colleges, as well as served as director of Volcker Alliance. He holds an M.B.A. in finance from Karnataka University and an engineering degree from Bharathiar University.

Majesco, a global provider of core insurance software and consulting services for insurance business transformation, named Ganesh Pai executive VP of Majesco Consulting Services. Pai was most recently at Genpact following 17 years at Mphasis and eight years at Wipro. He holds an undergraduate degree from Bangalore University and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.

United Neuroscience Inc., a biotechnology company dedicated to developing a cure for Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative disorders, named Dr. Ajay Verma chief medical officer. Verma joins the company from Biogen. He has also worked at Merck & Co. Inc. and Novartis Pharmaceuticals in leadership roles, as well as a U.S. Army Lt. Colonel and professor of neurology at the U.S. military’s medical school, the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. He received his medical and doctorate degrees from Johns Hopkins University.

AlertEnterprise Inc., a physical-logical security convergence software company, announced the addition of Vik Deol to its western sales team. Deol will assume the role as VP of sales of the Western Region. Deol joins AlertEnterprise from access control company AMAG Technologies, a division of G4S, where he served as director of Enterprise Sales, managing and building the business development team and working with key enterprise accounts throughout North America. He has also worked at Avigilon. He is a graduate of De Anza College and Purdue University.

Digital Domain announced that Amit Chopra, the company’s executive director and COO, has been appointed to the role of CEO for North America. Chopra will direct the company’s North American operations and guide the ongoing integration of skills and technologies from across the company’s growing portfolio of services.

Ulmer & Berne LLP announced the addition of Manju Gupta to the firm’s Cleveland office. Gupta joins Ulmer as counsel from McDonald Hopkins. Gupta has represented clients throughout the country in both state and federal courts. She also has extensive experience representing debtors and creditors in Chapter 11 bankruptcies and out-of-court workout matters.
