• San Jose, Calif.-based Adobe named Abhay Parasnis CTO and senior VP of platform technology and services. Parasnis will drive Adobe’s technology strategy, architecture and innovation roadmap for its cloud services, focusing on integration of its three cloud services; providing a consistent customer experience via the cloud; and enabling the company’s cloud-based go-to-market strategies. Most recently, he was president and COO of Kony. He previously held a variety of enterprise technology, platform and cloud roles at companies including Microsoft, i2, Oracle and IBM. Parasnis holds a bachelor’s degree in electronics and telecommunications from the College of Engineering Pune, and holds more than 20 patents spanning enterprise and consumer Internet technologies.

Disney India VP and head of marketing and distribution, studios, Amrita Pandey, was named INFOCOM 2015 Woman of the Year, Young Leader in Business. INFOCOM Woman of the Year awards have been conceptualized to recognize, acknowledge and honor the young and upcoming women leaders of corporate India.

• San Diego-based Illumina Inc. announced that Sanjay Chikarmane has been named senior VP and GM of Illumina’s Enterprise Informatics business. Chikarmane was previously with HP, BEA Systems and most recently, SAP. He holds a bachelor of technology degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai and a master of science in computer engineering from Syracuse University.

Broadcast network Star India Pvt. Ltd. has hired Varun Narang, a former executive with Los Angeles-based online video streaming service Hulu, to head the product and technology division for its online streaming services Hotstar. Hotstar was launched on Feb. 1, and became an overnight success, and Star India is now pushing over 35,000 hours of content to the mobile app across categories. Previously, he worked with Kodak, Amazon and Xerox.

• Waltham, Mass.-based Radius Health Inc., a science-driven biopharmaceutical company, announced that Dr. Debasish Roychowdhury has been elected to the company's board of directors. Roychowdhury previously served in key senior leadership roles at Sanofi, GlaxoSmithKline and Eli Lilly. Currently, he is president of Nirvan Consultants LLC and a member of the board of directors for Lytix Biopharma AS.

• Tustin, Calif.-based Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. announced that Satrajit Misra has been named VP of marketing. Misra was most recently the senior director, CT Business Unit at Toshiba. He was previously at Philips Healthcare and Siemens. He has a bachelor of science and a bachelor of technology in applied physics from the University of Calcutta in India and attended the School of Business and Economic Studies at the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom.

Frisco, Texas-based Imagine Communications, a video and advertising solutions company, named Ramnik Kamo chief marketing officer. Kamo is a graduate of the University of Mysore and Symbiosis institute of Management Studies in India, and Henley Business School in the U.K.

• Chicago-based Pritzker Group Venture Capital announced the addition of ContextMedia CEO and founder Rishi Shah to its team of senior advisors.
