As part of the annual conference held by The Indus Entrepreneurs, TiE Inflect, 50 startup companies were named winners of TiE50.
Among the winners of the program that recognizes the world’s most innovative startups was Girish Pancha-led StreamSets Inc., a provider of a DataOps platform for continuous dataflows.
“This award reflects the innovation we deliver by revolutionizing data movement in an era of big and fast data,” the Indian American entrepreneur said in a news release.
“Our DataOps platform applies DevOps principles to data integration in enabling high-performance continuous dataflows,” the chief executive officer explained. “Large global enterprises across a variety of industries rely on StreamSets to help them deliver business value from data-driven initiatives such as data lakes, IoT, cybersecurity and streaming applications.”
TiE50 is TiE Silicon Valley's premier annual awards program keenly contested by thousands of early-stage technology startups worldwide.
According to TiE Silicon Valley, the TiE50 track record since its inception in May 2009 shows that 84 percent of the winners and top startups have been funded, attracting billions in investments.
“As a 26-year not-for-profit dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship and with a global footprint of a half-million entrepreneurs, enterprise executives and investment professionals, we take pride in the fact that we are one of very few competitions without any pay-to-play incentives,” said TiE Silicon Valley president Ram K. Reddy in a statement.
Since its inception in 1992 in the Silicon Valley by a group of successful entrepreneurs, and corporate executives, the organization has grown to become one of the world’s largest non-profits dedicated to the cycle of wealth creation, focused on nurturing the next generation of entrepreneurs.
TiE Inflect, known as TiEcon in the previous 25 years of the event, is considered the world’s largest conference for entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs with participation from top technology companies, leading venture capital firms and global services providers. The event, held May 4 and May 5, drew around 5,500 guests and featured nearly 300 keynote speakers (see India-West story here).
