CALABASAS, Calif. — For three days earlier this month, more than 3,000 people from all over California gathered at the Malibu Hindu Temple here, dedicated to Lord Venkateswara, to celebrate its 32nd anniversary.
Poojas were conducted May 6-8 by priests Narasimha Bhattar, Krishnama Chary V. Prasad and new priest Prasanna Krishnan
Temple president Nadadur Vardhan announced the program to install the new deities of Durga-Saraswathi and Santoshi Mata, which have arrived from India. The temple will also install a Hanuman statue, according to a press release.
The temple will notify devotees of the plans and dates for the installation, it added.
Arrangements for the anniversary were made by vice president Raghavapillai Manavalan, with food arrangements by vice president Ravindra Vardarajan, added the release.
