Ro Khanna Rejects Association With RSS-Linked Event

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Ro Khanna(D-CA) said he was unaware of the guest list for a Washington event featuring Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale and does not support the organization.

Khanna clarified that his involvement was limited to a pre-recorded video message provided to the Hudson Institute without knowledge of other participants.

Responding on X to the Indian American Muslim Council, Khanna said, “I did not appear. Hudson, a think tank, asked for a 1-minute video which we provided. Have no idea on their guest list and certainly do not support RSS in anyway.”

The New India Conference, hosted earlier this week in Washington by the Hudson Institute, also featured Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) foreign affairs in-charge Vijay Chauthaiwale and former BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav. U.S. officials, including Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for South Asia Bethany Morrison and former Deputy Secretary of State Kurt Campbell, also participated.

  • RSS is not a religious organization. It works for and to promote humanity. You to be afraid of afraid of losing muslim votes and a just a SO CALLED secular.

    • Ramesh is right, RSS is promoting humanity for that reason it is opposing the value and ideology of Mahatma Gandhi, involved in almost all the Hindu-Muslim riots in India since 1926, since its inception.

  • Congressman Ro Khanna is a responsible and non-sectarian political leader who respects the public opinion of individuals and organizations, without a religious agenda. In this event, it is obvious that he was sucked in and set up to speak on the platform without the transparent invitation objectives.
